3G Infrastructure Services AB (3GIS) was founded in 2001 and is an independent company jointly owned by Telenor Svenska AB and 3 (Hi3G Access AB). Initially 3GIS’ assignment consisted of delivering 3G coverage in accordance with the Swedish license standards, which became one of Sweden’s largest industrial projects in modern times.

To the degree the network has expanded and the use of speech and mobile data increased, 3GIS have moved on from being a building company to becoming a network operator with full responsibility for operations and maintenance. This involves further development of the network through increased capacity, coverage, new functionality with a clear goal: to provide the customers of our owners the best service the market can offer.
