Primus Canada offers a wide selection of consumer and business telecommunications services available nationwide including Home Phone, Internet, Long Distance, VoIP, Wireless, Hosting, Managed Services and Enterprise IP Telephony. Primus Canada is a wholly-owned subsidiary of McLean, Virginia-based Primus Telecommunications Group, Incorporated (NYSE: PTGI).

Primus Canada was founded in 1997 and has since grown to more than 650 employees. It has offices across Canada including Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, London and Edmundston.
 

History

Primus Canada is a wholly owned subsidiary of McLean, Virginia-based Primus Telecommunications Group Incorporated. Founded in 1994, Primus Telecommunications Group Incorporated was formed as a global, facilities-based telecommunications service provider, and identified markets around the world to be connected by a company-owned and operated telecommunications network.

In 1997, Primus Telecommunications Group Incorporated entered into the Canadian long distance market, marking the beginning of Primus Canada. Through strategic acquisitions and successful sales and marketing efforts, Primus Canada expanded its operations with the addition of Internet and enhanced Data Services and established several state-of-the-art Data Centres.

Primus’ scalable solutions include Managed Services such as Security, Business Continuity, Hosting, Network, and Server Administration Services. In addition, Primus offers a wide range of Voice Services including, Local, Long Distance, Hosted PBX, Dedicated Voice Circuits, Conferencing and VoIP. All services are backed by an infrastructure which provides customers with unparalleled reliability.
