Advantel, a.s., the Czech alternative telecommunication operator, was established in 1999. In 2002 the company was granted licenses for developing and operating a public telecommunication network and for providing telephone services using a public fixed telecommunication network. In the same year, in accordance with the granted licenses, the company started to operate its own telecommunication network, with the aim of becoming the leading Czech alternative telco in the field of prepaid telephone services.

Within its network, Advantel provides a wide range of progressive telecommunication services under the brand Smartcall, offering inexpensive international calls and low-cost calls in the Czech Republic. The Smartcall portfolio includes prepaid telephone accounts for both individual users and businesses allowing complete online administration, as well as a wide range of prepaid telephone cards.

The Smartcall prepaid services allow access to almost any destination in the world, while at the same time offering ease of use and exceptionally advantageous rates for international telephone calls. Moreover, all Smartcall users can always rely on the best quality of telephone calls, high availability of the network, as well as outstanding customer support. The Advantel telecommunication network is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be accessed using toll-free access phone numbers within the entire Czech Republic.

The prepaid card portfolio includes, among other products, Smartcall Na cesty cards for inexpensive calls from abroad to the Czech Republic; T-karta cards for low-cost calls from the Czech Republic to Russia and other Eastern European countries; and Asiacall cards for inexpensive calls to a number of Asian destinations.

In addition to cost-effective international calls, Advantel’s product portfolio for business customers also includes a toll-free lines service under the name Advantel 800, including the possibility to create sophisticated voice interfaces (IVR).
